Shah Abbas the Great built Naqsh-e Jahan Square as a place to rule, pray and leisure. He ruled in Ali Qapu in which he had a total dominance over people below him in the square. Shah Mosque was the public place of prayer and a school. The square was also working as a Polo arena; Shah Abbas would watch riders fight over the ball and reward them with gold coins. 

Charbagh, Hasht Behesht, and Si-o-se-pol Bridge

In order to get to Hasht Behesht (eight heavens), you will walk through a famous street called Charbagh (four gardens), get familiar with Isfahan’s urban design and make your way towards Si-o-se-pol. You and your camera will fall in love as the sunset creates magical scenes over Si-o-se-pol and Zayanderud River.
